Next week, Facebook is planning on starting a test that will have its Audience Network ad network sell video ads within apps on internet connected TV platforms like Apple TV and Roku. They are doing this by filling the slots with video ads promoting it on either Facebook or non-profit organizations that work with Facebook. They are doing this so that they can figure out how to deliver video ads through Audience Network to people watching content on connected TV's. Their goal is to bring relevant ad experiences to people both on and off of Facebook.
